10:30am — Congregational Communion and Renewal Service (Scialla Hall)
Now that we are in 2019, we want to start the year off right! It is a common thing to make new year’s resolutions and. . . well, you know how that goes. That’s why, this year, we are doing things differently.
During our service schedule for Sunday, January 13 we will set aside time for reflection and renewal.
We will begin the day at 9:30am with a special gathering for the parents and children of our Christian Education program. They will be invited to join us in the Anderson Wing for a time of reflection and planning. As the children gather for Children’s Church, the parents will be invited for a meaningful time of fun, as we explore what resources we have and prepare for the great things we have to look forward to in the coming months.
Everyone is then invited to join us for a special communion service in Scialla Hall, beginning at 10:30am. During this service, we will sing sacred songs, share our sacred meal, and explore together ways to be more faithful in our call to become a Beloved Community together.
COMMUNITY SOUP KITCHEN - JANUARY SIGN UP
Our next opportunity for BCC to serve at the Community Soup Kitchen in Morristown is Saturday, January 19. Click below to sign up to volunteer as a server (11:15am-1:00pm) or Black Shirt (9:30am-1:00pm), or simply text Judy Schryver at 973-727-1480.
BROOK SINGERS AND PARENTS
Be on the lookout for the new rehearsal and singing schedule! For now you should know that we will have our first rehearsal of the new year on Sunday, January 20 after the 9:30 worship service until 11:15!
STEWARDSHIP UPDATE
As of Wednesday, January 2, a total of $196,930 has been received from 44 giving units. If you have already submitted your pledge card, many thanks. If you have not yet submitted a pledge card, please either mail it to us, deliver it to the church office, or drop it in the wooden box (located in the narthex of the church sanctuary). We thank you for your support!
