@ Brookside . . . Week of March 24

Come and join us on Wednesday evenings as we explore spiritual practices that can help center us and enrich our Christian faith. As people who strive for justice and seek to live a faith that is active, these spiritual practices can help us be more balanced in the health and well-being of our body, mind, and spirit.

We will continue on Wednesday nights with a yoga and meditation series. Join us in Scialla Hall from 6:30-7:45 pm for these donation-based classes on 4/3 and 4/10. All levels of experience welcome.

  • Please note, there will not be a Maundy Thursday service this year.

  • We will have a Good Friday Tenebrae Service on April 19 at 7pm featuring our own Adult Choir in concert. Come experience anew the story of the crucifixion interwoven with beautiful choral anthems.

  • Join us for breakfast on Easter morning in Scialla Hall at 8:30 am. Sign up here

  • One Easter Sunday service will be celebrated at 10am.

  • There will be an Easter Egg Hunt after worship.

If you would like to contribute towards the flowers which will decorate our sanctuary on Easter Sunday, please use the green envelopes located in the pews.   If you write in your name or a memorial dedication on the label in the lower left, it will appear in the Easter bulletin.  The envelopes can be placed in the offering plates or dropped off or mailed to the church office.  After our Easter service, please take a plant with you so you can enjoy it at home.

The Soup Kitchen’s “Share the Bounty” fundraiser will be held on Thursday, April 11, at 6pm at the Madison Hotel.  Tickets are $75.  The Community Soup Kitchen relies on your financial support to keep their doors open, 365 days a year. Every dollar goes directly to feeding and helping your neighbors and community members. The Soup Kitchen has operated since 1984 with a small staff and a lean budget — and all donations go towards the needs of their guests. They receive NO government funding, so supporters like you keep them running. Please come to “Share The Bounty” cocktail buffet and silent auction, tickets can be purchased at cskmorristown.org

If you required a key to our buildings at some point because you were on a committee or ran an activity or worked on the buildings, and if you are done with that task, please return your key to Nancy. We don’t feel comfortable having so many unassigned keys out there, and with new folks needing access to the building, it would be helpful to give them a set without making more copies.

Thanks for your cooperation,
The BCC Trustees
