Missions at Brookside Church

The folks at Brookside Church view the opportunity to work with and assist local and international organizations as a vital part of our everyday church living. Here are some of the projects and local organizations that Brookside Community Church partners with to impact our local community and the wider world.

The Community Soup Kitchen and Outreach Center is located in our neighboring community of Morristown. The Soup Kitchen provides nutritious meals in a warm, safe and caring environment, free of charge, no questions asked, to anyone who comes seeking nourishment. As part of the their mission of hospitality, the soup kitchen also encourages and assists their guests in accessing community resources, services and educational programs. For more information about the Community Soup Kitchen, visit their website at cskmorristown.org.

Every other month on the third Saturday, Brookside Church purchases fresh food and provides volunteers to prepare and serve food to the Soup Kitchen's guests.

Appalachia Service Project is a Christian ministry, open to all people, that inspires hope and service through volunteer home repair in Central Appalachia.

All year long, a team from Brookside Church partners with the Morristown United Methodist Church to raise funds and prepares for a weeklong summer service project with ASP where they volunteer to making homes in Appalachia warmer, safer and drier.
