@ Brookside . . . Week of June 2

AN UPDATE ON THE MANSE KITCHEN PROJECT

Exciting things are happening at the manse! The many layers of old kitchen flooring will be ripped out this week, and a subfloor laid down, which will allow our contractor to install the new cabinets when they arrive. Our electrician will then be able to run wiring for new lighting and outlets. Energy-saving, stylish appliances have been ordered - so refreshing in a kitchen that has not seen a facelift in quite awhile! All is going according to plan, thanks to your generous gifts. Even with the kitchen renovation nearly funded, we have taken a closer look at the windows (something Michael alerted us to when he lived there) and recognize that we have to start replacing them. We are exploring a cost-effective solution with our contractor. Any additional funds that we receive will be used to start this work, which is so important to the general upkeep and livability of the manse.

With gratitude — the Trustees and the Search Committees

CHILDREN'S SUNDAY

THIS SUNDAY - JUNE 9

This will be a child-led worship service based around what we've learned in Sunday School this year. Come hear from the kids about why it's so important to live by the teachings of the Bible and how it affects us each and every day. Afterwards, join us for a potluck brunch in Scialla Hall and fun activities for all ages. And don't forget to stop by the Ice Cream Man before you leave!
